As a career IT Project Manager, I’ve learned that I can often motivate myself with the idea of doing a project. In my photography effort, each project culminates in a print or a series of gallery art prints focusing on a single theme or a related theme.

While I’m currently working on completing my book, I’ve been continuing to develop my portfolio of nature photographs. I’m working on capturing wildlife; most recently raptors. I’m not ready to mark that one off as complete, but that hasn’t kept me from planning some trips for black bear, foxes, bobcat, coyotes and owls in the NC mountains.

Also in the mountains, I’ve begun taking some woodland scenes and long views from precipices near the Wilson Creek Area, just south of Grandfather Mountain.

Another project I’m excited about, but has to go on the back burner for now, will require me to photograph some of the iconic sights of Winston-Salem, where I live. This project is interesting because I am taking an interesting community approach, which I’ll reveal after I’ve actually started the work.
